Apple is in the midst of showcasing its latest and greatest software updates at WWDC 2022, but they have already released some features that will have a big impact on iOS users.
Software Engineering Vice President Craig Federighi announced new updates to its messaging capabilities on Monday.
The company introduced a trio of updates to iMessage that will allow users to edit their conversations after sending messages or remember them completely by clicking “undo sending”. The updated messaging app will also allow users to mark text threads as unread so that users can mark the threads they’d like to revisit when they have time. Ultimately, these are some of the fairly basic features that have been missing for some time, but will likely have a big impact on iMessage users.
Messages that have been edited will be designated as such in the thread, although it is unclear whether users have a time limit to make changes.
“These three features will make a big difference in how we use messages every day,” Federighi told the audience.
