Apple unveiled the Apple Watch Series 3 five years ago, but with the unveiling of watchOS 9, the smartwatch is coming to a halt.
watchOS 9 will not support the Series 3, which means that the Apple Watch SE will take over as Apple’s budget laptop
The Apple Watch Series 3 currently costs $ 249 and the Apple Watch SE starts at $ 369.
Interestingly, the Watch Series 3 can still be purchased from the Apple Store. However, that could change when the operating system update starts this fall.
The beta for watchOS 9 developers is now available and the public beta will be released in July.
