The 7 Series is only a moderate upgrade from the 6 Series, but Apple made some key improvements. The highlight is that the 7 Series has a larger screen that makes it easier to view the time, messages and other information displayed in the complications. The design seems unchanged, but it is the first Apple Watch to be dust resistant IP6X, making it more durable than previous models. It also supports faster charging: we were able to get 10 percent juice after 10 minutes of charging, and the watch turned off completely in less than an hour.
Otherwise, the 7 Series is very similar to the 6 Series. It always has an active display, an integrated GPS, ECG and blood oxygen measurement capabilities, drop detection, support for dozens of traceable workouts and much month. Our biggest complaint with the latest model in particular is its poor sleep tracking capability – you can only keep track of how long you’ve slept with the native watchOS feature, which is much less information than you’d get if you used it. a Fitbit or a Garmin device to do the same. But if that doesn’t bother you much, it’s hard to beat the Apple Watch for iPhone users who are determined to get a wearable.
