We no longer live in a world where the maxim “you can’t recover what you said” is completely true. At least in the digital realm. At its annual global developer conference (WWDC), Apple unveiled its iOS 16 update, which includes many new features to “forward” text messages. Goodbye text messages at night, goodbye casual messages to your boss instead of your best friend – this is a game changer.
I can now cancel the submission of all my simple texts

What’s new in the Apple iOS 16 update?
Along with the unsent feature, users will soon have the option to edit recently sent texts and retrieve recently deleted messages. On top of that, there will also be a feature that will allow people to mark conversations as unread so you can revisit them later, perfect for non-serial responders like me. Apple will also introduce SharePlay, a feature that allows you to sync content such as movies or songs with whom you send messages (where was this during blocking?).
While many of these features already exist on social networking platforms like Instagram and messaging apps like Skype and Microsoft Teams, it is guaranteed that the iOS 16 update will change the way we interact with each other.
As always, Internet citizens are divided on whether the changes are a blessing or a completely unnecessary one. The benefits are simple: who hasn’t dreamed of being able to retract intoxicated messages to an ex or edit a “ducking” to “f * cking”? And what about the times you sent gossip to the person you were talking about? No, just me?

The only acceptable time to use the new iMessage feature to cancel text sending is when you send someone a screenshot of their own text, you wanted to send it to someone else.

On the other hand, where does this leave us with the responsibility? In the most extreme cases, where there are lies, deception, and general misconduct, does that mean we should take screenshots of messages as soon as possible to make sure we can present the receipts, Your Honor? It remains to be seen.

Some are indifferent to this news, and many on Twitter indicate that the feature has been lost because “they said what they said” and they keep it. A position we can respect, that’s for sure.
Aside from messaging updates, iOS 16 lets you customize the lock screen by changing the look and feel of the date and font with a variety of colors to choose from. In addition, notifications will appear at the bottom of the screen and not at the top.
Wondering when these changes will occur? So far, Apple has said that iOS 16 will be released in the “fall” of this year, and technology releases are expected to be released in September. Are you scared? Consider this warning to throw your phone into the nearest river, lake, or body of water. You have been warned.
