In a letter, UN Human Rights Treaty Division Ibrahim Salama said it had “called on the state party (the government) to refrain from withdrawing life-sustaining medical treatment, including mechanical ventilation and artificial nutrition and hydration, of the alleged victim while the case is under study by the commission.”
