Police are investigating an alleged assault that left a man in hospital with serious head injuries.
A 33-year-old man has been charged in connection with the incident that took place on a road between West Marketgait and Yeaman Shore in Dundee.
A man was found seriously injured by a member of the public around 8pm on Thursday 2 June, with the Scottish ambulance service called at the scene.
The 45-year-old man was rushed to Ninewells Hospital for medical treatment and doctors described his condition as “stable”.
Officers previously appealed for a witness who is believed to have witnessed the incident.
