Liverpool are closing in on a deal for Arthur from Juventus in the final hours of the transfer window, while three loan deals have been agreed, with more expected before the deadline.
A midfielder will arrive…on loan
The day began with shock reports that Liverpool had landed Arthur from Juventus as a midfield solution, a move they quickly moved to follow Jordan Henderson’s injury.
The 26-year-old’s name came out of the blue and before he knew it the plane trackers were on the case, with Arthur Merseyside forced to complete medicals and sign on the dotted line.
There was a mixture of relief and concern from fans at the Reds’ loan pursuit of the Brazilian, with his injury history making it feel like he would fit in almost too well in the midfield department.
But in Arthur’s TIA analysis, you can see why he was an option for Liverpool as a player who can rotate with Thiago, having shown very similar characteristics to the Spaniard.
