At least 10 people have been killed and 22 injured in a chemical blast at an electronics factory in Hapur district in northern India, according to police.
The crash happened at an industrial facility in Dhaulana, about 60 kilometers from the capital, New Delhi Police spokesman Surendra Singh said.
“The company was registered to manufacture electronic equipment and is now investigating what chemicals were used,” Singh said.
Senior police officer Pravin Kumar said a fire broke out after a factory boiler exploded.

The injured were taken to hospital and three of them were in critical condition, he said.
The blast blew up the roof of the factory, rescue worker Ajay Mishra said.
Authorities have ordered an investigation.
Industrial accidents are common in India and people are often blamed for failing to comply with safety regulations as well as lax inspections by government officials.
In 2019, a fire caused by an electrical short circuit in a New Delhi factory producing bags and other items killed 43 people.
In a second major fire that year, a fire in the illegal roof kitchen of a six-story building killed 17 people, also in New Delhi.
