Cam Ayala, of Bachelor Nation, is facing the challenges of life with a smile on her face.
Cam, who appeared in the 15th season of The Bachelorette and the sixth season of Bachelor in Paradise in 2019, had his right leg amputated recently after a lifelong battle with lymphedema, a chronic disease that causes the accumulation of fluid in soft tissues. and causes swelling in the arms and legs.
Cam shared pictures and videos after the surgery in an Instagram post on June 24, one of which showed Cam walking down the aisles of Texas Medical Center with the help of a walker. He hears a friend cheering on Cam from behind the camera and saying, “Good job, man.”

Earlier this month, Cam partnered with Oscar winner Kathy Bates, who also suffers from lymphedema, to raise awareness about the disease and opened up about her choice to undergo an amputation procedure.
