Bandai Namco launches a new children’s wearable that combines games and exercise. It is an “interactive band” designed to change the way children play.
Launched this summer, Vital Hero comes from Bandai Namco Toys & Collectibles America as the first wave of Vital Hero bands. It has a single Digital Monster per side and a list of Digital Monsters kids you can pick up to expand your game.
It has a full-color LED display and a built-in vital activity monitor. The Vital Hero band offers daily activities with a number of missions to complete, such as shadow boxing, squatting, sprinting challenges, walking a number of steps, and more.
Each mission and daily activity evolves your digital monster, makes them stronger, propels you into battles, and offers you endless fun playing alone or with friends.
“The Vital Hero band combines playing and staying active in a fun, new, and engaging way for big kids,” says Selah Estrada, senior director of brand strategy marketing at Bandai Namco Toys & CollectiblesAmerica. in a statement. “We live in a time when kids are more tech savvy than ever and gamification is the new way to play.”

Vital Hero can also be activated at NFC (Near Field Connection) contact points, such as charging stations, ID card readers, and more. In the future, there will be two apps available where kids will be able to compete in online PVP championships and store their digital monster collection.
Advance sales of the Vital Hero begin today on Amazon.com, available in black and blue versions. Priced at $ 65, each band offers a complete gaming ecosystem for continued use and fun. On iOS or Android, you can pick up and store your evolved digital monsters in the VB Lab smartphone app.
