Before its overhaul, the Ferrari had spent the previous decade locked up in police storage after being confiscated from a criminal.
Jakub Vincalek, a police spokesman, said Czech police forces normally struggle to keep up with the high-performance cars that take part in illegal international races.
Officers in the Czech Republic confiscated about 900 vehicles last year, but most were later sold to cover the costs of the damage caused by the perpetrators.
