JERSEY CITY, NJ – Americans at a Garden State gas station on Thursday shared their thoughts on President Biden promoting economic conditions in the United States during his interview with Jimmy Kimmel.

“I think inflation is really going to hurt the economy in the future,” Tom of New Jersey told Fox News. “It doesn’t seem to stop, and oil and gas, I don’t see that mitigating, so it’s going to hurt.”

But Luis, also from New Jersey, said, “I think we’re growing really fast here in the US … so I’d kind of agree with him.”

Biden’s appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Wednesday night marked his first online interview in 118 days. Biden promoted the success of the economy, but said inflation is the “perdition of our existence.”

Some were unsure of the success of the economy, but felt the daily impact of rising prices.

“I’m not sure how the economy is doing,” Hemish of Brooklyn said. “But I know inflation is very high and everyone is frustrated.”

According to the Department of Labor, inflation hit a 40-year high in 2022.

“Times are really tough right now with gasoline prices rising, and every article when I go shopping for food is 20% more after COVID,” Kathy, a New Jersey resident, told Fox News.

During the commercial with the comedian, Biden slammed former President Trump, mocked possible executive orders on abortion, and said the White House has had great successes that have not been well communicated.

Tom said he couldn’t name a major success that Biden had achieved.

“Joe can’t either,” Tom told Fox News. “He’s on Jimmy Kimmel Live! He’s the president of the United States. He’s desperate.”
