Bob Saget is still helping raise funds for a cause near and dear to his heart even in death … an annual fundraiser he hosted, with the help of his famous friends, is returning.
The late “Full House” star was a tireless advocate and fundraiser for the Scleroderma Research Foundation, which hosted her signature event for 30 years … but now that she’s gone, comedy show is becoming a special tribute to Bob.
SRF tells TMZ that a trio of Bob’s celebrity friends are the new hosts of “Cool Comedy • Hot Cuisine” … with Jeff Ross, John Mayer and Jimmy Kimmel taking over from Bob.
The fundraiser, which costs at least $500 to attend, will pay tribute to Bob and also feature comedy sets from Nikki Glaser, Regina Hall, Howie Mandel, Joel McHale, Kevin Nealon and John Stamos, just to name a few some.
Under Bob’s direction, the annual show raised more than $25 million for vital research to find a cure for scleroderma, a group of rare diseases that involve hardening of the skin and connective tissues.
Bob’s sister Gay died of the disease in 1994 when she was only 47 years old, and he has been involved with SRF through “Cool Comedy • Hot Cuisine” since 1991, as an assistant, performer , organizer and producer.

Remember…Jeff and John were very close to Bob, even braving LA traffic to pick up Saget’s car at the airport, their way of remembering their late friend.
In addition to spearheading the great SRF event, Bob also dedicated himself over the years to reaching out to families dealing with the disease to offer them comfort and support.
The event will take place on September 21st at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel… and Jeff says that Bob’s show must go on until they find a cure.
