Thick fog that blanketed parts of Brisbane this morning has seen flights diverted and traffic warnings issued.
Incoming domestic flights to Brisbane have been diverted to regional airports due to the heavy fog.
Brisbane Airport said five flights had been rediverted to Coolangatta, Mackay and Rockhampton airports.

Additional incoming flights are expected to be delayed or diverted while the thick fog persists.
Departing flights from Brisbane are still taking off, but passengers are warned to expect minor delays.

The Bureau of Meteorology issued a warning for drivers at 6:30am, saying reduced visibility due to the fog was making road conditions dangerous.
Other parts of the state are also experiencing heavy fog but it is expected to lift later this morning.

Bureau of Meteorology forecaster Shane Kennedy said many Brisbane suburbs woke up to fog.
“Mainly the south-east and also the western suburbs around Ipswich [got] quite thick fog this morning,” he said.
“It should start to lift off once the sun comes up properly.”

Mr Kennedy said there was likely more foggy mornings to come.
“Good chances there will be some morning fog, particularly in the west for the next couple of mornings,” he said.
He said Brisbane airport was “completely clouded in”.
“Visibility is down around 200 metres at the airport.”
