Bristol Airport LIVE: Baggage recovers a “nightmare” as passengers report three-hour baggage waiting

Bristol Airport passengers have complained about delays in retrieving “nightmare” luggage as passengers continue to report problems today (June 6). People have flocked to social media to complain about the three-hour wait to pick up luggage at the airport.

Twitter user Simon Williams wrote at 3:31 a.m. (June 6): “@BristolAirport never ceases to disappoint with baggage retrieval. S *** in February a hundred times worse in June ……… no we get better God help what the summer holidays bring ……. # pathetic “

And a user named Debbie wrote at 10:58 pm last night: “If you’re going on holiday in the next few weeks from @BristolAirport with @TUIUK, then I’m asking you to change it. I had a nightmare trip to house with two little ones.

“You didn’t want to leave this airport! They didn’t do anything! Three hours of waiting for our bags.”

The disruption has also been caused by cancellations of extensive flights across the county, including Bristol. It is believed that hundreds of students and teachers will not return to the classrooms today because they are stranded abroad.

It occurs when passengers at Bristol Airport have suffered long delays on several occasions in recent weeks. An airport spokesman has previously blamed delays on staff shortages and demand for holidays following the pandemic.

However, some passengers have not had such a bad experience. Bristol Live engagement producer Saskia Bahadur says the queues for security have lasted about 20 minutes this morning.

And on Twitter, Rob McCullough praised his experience at the airport. “@BristolAirport is running smoothly this morning, with everyone working to speed it up all the time,” he wrote.

He approached Bristol Airport and TUI for comment.
