Britain’s Got Talent reveals wildcard act for grand final

Britain’s Got Talent has added Amber and The Dancing Collies to tomorrow night’s (June 5) grand final in the wildcard slot.

Chosen by judges Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, David Walliams and Amanda Holden ahead of the other third-place acts from this week’s semi-finals, the Dutch circus performer and her very good pooches will compete against the 10 already confirmed contestants to take part in the Royal Variety Performance.

This means, the finalists’ line-up is as follows:

  • Maxwell Thorpe
  • Jamie Leahey
  • Ben Nickless
  • Flintz & T4ylor
  • Tom Ball
  • Eva Abley
  • Loren Allred
  • 5 Star Boys
  • Axel Blake
  • Aneeshwar Kunchala
  • Amber and The Dancing Collies

Last night (June 3), the last semi-final of the week featured singing, scooter tricks and comedy before the last two acts made it to the final: comedian Axel Blake and poet Aneeshwar Kunchala.

Axel had been a frontrunner since his audition, receiving a golden buzzer and having Simon Cowell’s full backing all the way. “I was really nervous because I knew how good you’re first audition was… I really like you. I’m gonna say it because I mean it, you’re a star… please pick up the phone,” Cowell urged the viewers.

Meanwhile, opera singer Maxwell Thorpe recently opened up about trying to audition in past years:

“I think I did it twice and it just happened that I couldn’t make that date of the audition because of the Duke of Edinburgh Award or something like that. And then I remember one time in Sheffield, I think the event got cancelled or something like that.”

Good luck to all 11 finalists!

Britain’s Got Talent’s live final airs tomorrow at 19:30 on ITV.
