Payne Haas’ camp shook the Broncos when he called for an immediate release last Wednesday night, but the superstar has pledged to deal with the rest of his contract.
Haas is contracted with the Broncos until the end of 2024 with an agreement of around $ 800,000 a year, but it was understood that the 22-year-old’s management had been pushing for him to reach $ 1 million and more.
Haas arrived in New South Wales’ home country on Sunday night and cracked down on the contract in an interview with 9News, saying negotiations were in the hands of his direction.

9Robby League journalist Ben Dobbin reports that the leadership of Haas and the Broncos has reached a truce.
“Great news: Payne Haas management met with the Broncos yesterday and this afternoon they have informed the club that they will be staying with the Broncos until the end of 2024 and will fulfill their contract,” Dobbin said on Tuesday night.
“I just spoke to coach Kevin Walters, who said he was delighted with this decision and was more than happy for Payne Haas to stay.”
The Broncos said in a statement that they were “committed to working with Payne and his agent to help chart the next phase of his career.”

Brisbane CEO Dave Donaghy backed the leader despite the drama of the contract.
“Everyone at our club has the utmost consideration for Payne and we believe it is very important to have these confidential conversations at a time of year when there are no distractions,” Donaghy said.
“Payne has been an important part of our club for a number of years and we look forward to receiving him again once he has finished his duties in his home state.”

“I want the fans to know that they won’t get anything but my best every time I put on a Broncos shirt.”
The Broncos fans made their feelings clear in Haas’ first game since he made the request for release, drowning him with boos every time he touched the ball on Friday night.
Haas was also booed when he returned from the bench in the 51st minute of the Titans’ clash at Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium, before admitting in an interview with Nine after the match that the icy reception had “surprised” him.
Haas will line up for NSW at the Origin opening at Australia’s Sydney Stadium next Wednesday night.
