Buses damaged in a crash in the city center

An accident with two buses has caused traffic problems in Norwich city center this morning.

The collision is believed to have occurred on Market Avenue, near the intersection with Castle Meadow, around 11 a.m.

It was a First Bus, which was damaged in the back, and a Dews bus, which had a broken windshield.

The incident caused traffic problems initially as it was near the exit of the Castle Quarter shopping center car park and the busy intersection which also led to Bank Plain, Tombland and Prince of Wales Road.

It is not known if anyone was injured in the collision, but a police car was driven to the scene.

A rescue vehicle was called and the site was left around noon.

First Norwich provided an update on Twitter at 12.46pm confirming the road had been cleared.
