Police are asking for help from the public to identify a suspect in a sexual assault that took place in May.

On May 21, at approximately 5:20 p.m., police were called to the CF Market Mall to report a man wandering the mall harassing customers.
Police said in a press release that they are believed to have harassed several women and girls in various shops and mall areas before sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl.

The victim and her friend were in a store when the man approached and touched her inappropriately. Police say the victim and her friend alerted store staff and mall security. The man fled the mall and was last seen heading north on 40th Avenue NW.
The suspect, who was captured in a surveillance video, is described as about five feet eight inches tall, of slender build, dark brown eyes and dark hair with a bald spot near the top of his head. He was last seen wearing a red shirt, dark green jacket and gray cargo pants.
Police ask anyone with information about the suspect’s identity to contact him by calling 403-266-1234. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
