Officers were called at the corner of George and Liverpool Streets, Sydney, after a man was assaulted on Monday around 2.10am.
A 25-year-old man was allegedly involved in a fight with six men more unknown to him.

The men fled the scene in a blue Holden Commodore.
Paramedics treated the 25-year-old at the scene, where he was later taken to hospital with a fractured skill and bleeding to the brain.
It remains in critical condition.
Police have released images of six men believed to be involved in the incident.
All are described as Indian subcontinental in appearance.

The first man is described as having a height of 180 to 185 cm, of solid complexion, with facial hair and short black hair. He was wearing a blue jacket and a shirt and blue and red jeans from the “Ellesse” brand.
The second man is about 180 to 185 cm tall, of solid build, with facial hair and short black hair. He was wearing a light-colored hooded sweater and dark running pants.
The third man is about 170 to 175 cm tall, of medium build, with clean facial hair and short black hair. He has a tattoo on his back.

He was wearing jeans, a light-colored shirt with a light-colored ‘Puma’ brand water jacket.
The fourth man is about 170 to 175 cm tall, of medium build, with facial hair and short black hair combed to one side. He was wearing track pants, black sandals, and a light-colored zipped sweater.
The fifth man is about 170 to 175 cm tall, of medium build, with facial hair and short black hair. He was wearing light-colored track pants, black thongs, and a hooded sweatshirt.

The sixth man is about 170 to 175 cm tall, of small build, with short black hair. He was wearing a dark jacket and light jeans.
