Richard Wilkins doesn’t have time for haters.
The television personality has defended her son on Instagram, after people criticized Christian Logies ’red carpet dress.
“So … to anyone who dares to suggest that I’m somehow ‘ashamed’ of my son Christian … for whatever reason … You’re wrong!” He wrote.
“I couldn’t be more proud !!” Richard continued. “He is an exceptional human being who will leave his mark on the world long after his detractors have disappeared. I love you unconditionally.”
He also has “a proud father” in his Instagram biography.
Earlier this week, Christian responded to trolls on Twitter who said his choice to wear a dress “was not normal.”
“All I can really say is that I’m amazed at how vulnerable patriarchy is that can be threatened by a piece of silk,” he told 9Honey.

Most of the responses to Wilkins ’red carpet choice were positive, with many praising him for wearing something other than the standard tuxedo most men wear to the event.
And love for Christian continued to flow in the comments section of Richard’s Instagram post.
Today’s host, Karl Stefanovic, wrote: “Beyond the exceptional. It is a light. A beautiful human light. That comes from beautiful human beings. And light. Anyone who thinks otherwise is not worth it. get to know you and pay attention to you. I love you very much. “
Journalist Leila McKinnon also spoke out: “If we’re gathering an army against anyone who doubts the beautiful relationship between two of my favorite humans, count on me!”
“I can only dream of having such a close relationship with my daughters when they are older,” Belinda Russell added.

Christian and Richard have always had a close bond.
In 2020, Christian told Women’s Weekly that “people would be very surprised at how we both look at each other for support in terms of life, love and career.”
Richard has five children. “I am hugely proud of each of them and supportive, protective and hopefully loving,” she said in the same interview. “I’m the best father I know how to be. And I’m definitely a much better father now than when my first child was born.”
