Firefighters were tackling a fire in the basement of a Trafalgar Square pub in central London on Tuesday evening.
Ten firefighters and about 70 firefighters attended The Admiralty pub shortly after 5 p.m., and the number grew to 125 firefighters later.
The London Fire Brigade said its firefighters were working in “arduous” conditions.

A spokesman for firefighters told the PA news agency that those inside were evacuated before teams arrived and there had been no reports of injuries.
Station commander Keith McDermott said: “The fire is in the basement of a pub in Trafalgar Square. As a result, there will be major traffic disruptions and we are asking people to avoid the area if possible.
“Due to the arduous, difficult and hot conditions inside the basement, we have increased the number of firefighters and firefighters at the scene.
“About 150 people evacuated the pub and surrounding businesses before the brigade arrived.”
