Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio of Daredevil will both appear in Hawkeye Spinoff Echo (report)

Daredevil and Kingpin look set for a remake, in Disney + ‘s upcoming Hawkeye spin-off.

Our sister site THR reports that both Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio will have roles in Disney + ’s Echo, which was commissioned in November and stars Hawkeye’s Alaqua Cox as Maya Lopez headline.

Cox played New York legal eagle Matt Murdock / Daredevil for three seasons in the first of six series of Netflix “street heroes” produced by Marvel TV’s (now defunct) arm, while D’Onofrio s ‘raised as an archenemy. Wilson Fisk also known as Kingpin.

Then, for a week in mid-December 2021, three years after Daredevil’s cancellation, Cox reprized his role on the big screen in a scene from Spider-Man: No Way Home (where Matt advised Peter Parker), while D’Onofrio started a short bow at Disney’s Hawkeye.

Marvel does not comment on rumors of Echo’s castings, but THR hears that Matt Murdock will be looking for a former ally, Jessica Jones, to listen to the podcast The Weekly Planet. (Marvel TV co-star Krysten Ritter has yet to reprise her own superhero role since the Netflix series Jessica Jones ended after three seasons.)

Cox after the release of No Way Home said that with Matt and Kingpin now back in the MCU mix, “I guess there’s more to do. I know a little bit, not a lot, but a little bit. M ‘I imagine, I hope, that our worlds will collide again, because the things we’ve done in the past were a lot of fun to do and [Vincent is] such an amazing actor. “
