Interest in Aubameyang comes amid Chelsea spinning multiple plates at once, both in terms of departures and arrivals. They apparently made major progress on a deal for Brighton defender Marc Cucurella on Wednesday, and while the Seagulls have publicly denied a full deal has been agreed, it is still expected that a deal can be reached 52.5 million pounds.
Barcelona midfielder and Manchester United target Frenkie de Jong is also believed to be of strong interest, and could be discussed with the Spanish side along with a possible move for Aubameyang. Finally, the Blues were refusing to give up on Leicester City star Wesley Fofana, despite manager Brendan Rodgers’ cries that he is not for sale.
While Chelsea’s transfer move looks urgent, one star name they already have on their doorstep is Raheem Sterling and Tuchel has wasted no time in singing his praises.
