Chelsea’s massive exodus continues when Petr Cech leaves as technical and performance adviser after Todd Boehly takes office

Chelsea legend Petr Cech has become the latest high-profile figure at Stamford Bridge to leave after taking over the club for £ 4.2bn.

The 40-year-old has left his role as technical and performance advisor for the Blues, a position he has held since 2019.

The West London Chelsea have announced that the former goalkeeper will officially leave his post at the end of the month.

It has already been announced that club president Bruce Buck will leave after 19 years of service.

Meanwhile, director Marina Granovskaia has been removed from office while Todd Boehly is reorganizing his board of directors.

And now Cech has followed them through the door.

Speaking on the club’s website, he said: “It has been a great privilege to play this role at Chelsea for the last three years.

“With the club under the new ownership, I think now is the right time for me to side.

“I am pleased that the club is now in an excellent position with the new owners, and I am confident of their future success both on and off the pitch.”

Boehly, who has confirmed that he will take over as president in addition to being Chelsea’s interim sporting director, soon wished Cech well for the future.

He remarked: “Petr is an important member of the Chelsea family.

“We understand his decision to move away and thank him for his contributions as an advisor and his commitment to the club and our community.

“We wish you all the best.”

In addition to Cech, Buck and Granovskaia, CEO Guy Laurence and former goalkeeper Christophe Lollichon have left Chelsea.

Now the focus will be on who will sign Chelsea this summer, with Thomas Tuchel giving him a £ 200m hurdle.

It has been said that Boehly has promised Tuchel that he will allow him to make six signings.
