The transfer period has been open for just over two weeks, but Arsenal and Tottenham have not wasted time getting new signings through the door. The Gunners have already welcomed Marquinhos and Fabio Vieira to the Emirates Stadium, while a deal has already been agreed for goalkeeper Matt Turner and it is only necessary to announce it.
Tottenham, meanwhile, have signed Ivan Perisic, Fraser Forster and Yves Bissouma in what has been an impressive start to the window for Fabio Paratici. Entries are not expected to stop here, with the Lilywhites linked to a number of names such as Djed Spence, Jonathan Clauss and Richarlison.
In west London, Chelsea have yet to make any signings, but there has been a lot going on behind the scenes as new owner Todd Boehly tries to give coach Thomas Tuchel the players he needs to challenge Liverpool and Manchester City next season. Although Romelu Lukaku looks likely to return to Inter Milan, Jules Kounde could join from Sevilla, while the club remains linked with a move of large numbers for Declan Rice.

All three, Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea, expect more business to be done from now until the end of the window, and fans may not have to wait long for more signings, if they believe the reports. According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, Raphinha is a target for all three clubs, while Raheem Sterling remains a “priority” for Chelsea.
Romano said in an update posted on Twitter: “Arsenal and Tottenham continue to work at Raphinha. Barcelona, no new offers at the moment.
“No one has reached an agreement with Leeds yet, asking for £ 65 million, stronger after the Kalvin deal. #LUFC Next week could be crucial. Chelsea were also called Leeds, but Sterling is the highest priority “.
It remains to be seen whether Raphinha or Sterling will move the clubs this window, but there is likely to be a lot of speculation by the end of August regardless.
