Police cordoned off a house after shots were fired through a window.
Officers confirmed they were called to Mill Lane, Wavertree, around 6:10 p.m., Tuesday, June 7 after reports were fired. At the scene, detectives found that the window of a house had been damaged by gunfire.
Witnesses said they saw four masked men in dark clothes chasing each other with a bicycle and a scooter when the shots were fired. Police say no injuries have been reported so far.

Images from the scene show a water slide and a children’s gate in the front yard of the house. There is also a children’s play area and a park right in front of the shoot.
Detectives believe the target is firing, making it the second shooting aimed at Merseyside in two days. Shots were fired Monday, June 6, through the window, front door and bricks of a house in Springvale Close, Kirkby.
The suspect, or suspects, is believed to have moved away from the scene in the direction of Dagnall Road, following the shooting in Kirkby. A cordon is kept in Mill Lane while investigations continue.
Commenting on the Wavertree shooting, Detective Inspector Katie Coote said: “I would urge anyone in the area after 6pm this evening to witness the incidents or have information to report.
“I’d also like to call anyone who has video surveillance, a dashboard camera, or images on any other device to take the time to check to see if they’ve captured any images that might help us find those responsible. a gun on a residential street is extremely reckless and dangerous and shows a total disregard for the safety of local residents.
“A gun in the hands of criminals could be deadly and we are committed to fighting crime with guns to make our streets safer. Any information you have can be vital to our inquiries, so please tell us what you know so that we can remove dangerous weapons and those who use them from our streets. “
Speaking about the Kirkby shooting, Chief Detective Inspector Rachel Wilson reiterated the importance of people sharing information and said, “We are in the early stages of this investigation. We look forward to speaking with any witnesses or anyone who has information We understand the fear of gun crimes and I would like to reassure the community that we believe it was a targeted attack, that we are investigating thoroughly.
“Firearms have no place on the streets of Merseyside and we remain committed to eliminating them and the people who decide to take them. It is absolutely vital that we receive all the information from those communities that feel the impact of gun crimes.” so that we can bring those responsible to justice.
“This happened in a residential area and there are likely to be people who witnessed the incident or know who is responsible. I would call anyone who was in Springvale Close last night and saw anything or anyone suspected of contacting police.
“Similarly, if you are driving around the area and have images from the dashboard camera, check them out and tell us if you see anything. The information you have could be vital to our investigation.
“Shooting a gun on a residential street is extremely reckless and dangerous and could have led to more tragic circumstances. So if you know anything, please let us know and we will take action against those responsible.”
