The National Space Administration of China (CNSA) released a series of detailed images on June 29 that were taken by its Tianwen-1 Mars spacecraft and cover the entire surface of the planet. Other images show the 4,000-kilometer-long Valles Marineris canyon and the impact craters of Arabia Terra, a highland region north of Mars. China successfully launched the unmanned Tianwen-1 on July 23, 2020 and has so far photographed the red planet in its entirety along 1,300 orbits.
