People in Perth and across the state felt the cold Tuesday morning as temperatures dropped below 4 ° C, with some regions experiencing sub-zero temperatures.
Western Australians were forced to grab blankets overnight and this morning, as a cold front spread across parts of the state, with the Wheatbelt and Great Southern reaching freezing temperatures.
Meteorological Bureau meteorologist Angeline Prasad said Perth’s temperature dropped to 4.4 degrees Celsius on Tuesday morning, but it seemed more than 2 degrees Celsius.
The good news is that this will be the coldest day of the week, according to Prasad, but on Thursday an “even stronger cold front” will arrive that will lead to 10 to 20mm of rain.
“In terms of temperatures, today (Tuesday) will probably be the coldest. It may go down a bit and tomorrow could be similar, ”he said.
The service forecaster added that Perth shivered from colder temperatures last week and, although “a few places have fallen below zero today”, they have felt colder before.
Those in Cunderdin, in the Wheatbelt region of the state, woke up on Tuesday with freezing temperatures of 0.4ºC, and those in Wandering were only 0.4ºC warmer at 0.8ºC.

People in the Great South region of Newdegate felt the cold at 0.6 ºC in the morning, and those in Southern Cross were no warmer with temperatures reaching 0.7 ºC.
The rest of the week will remain cloudy with showers that will affect parts of the state on Thursday and last until the weekend until Saturday.
It is expected to be partly cloudy on Sunday, with one or two showers starting the week on Monday.
