Ferry services to Rottnest Island have been canceled over the weekend due to bad weather.
Waves of up to five meters and strong winds of up to 30 knots are expected from Saturday on the island’s coast.
The Meteorological Office has warned of any coastal activity, with a strong cold front currently settling on Garden Island, which stretches across Perth on Friday afternoon, causing strong winds, heavy showers and possible storms.
“There is expected to be an active storm front, which could mean wind gusts of up to 100 miles per hour,” Jessica Lingard said.
