Ethel-Casorso trail finished
Kelowna’s last active transport corridor from Ethel Street to Casorso Road has been completed and will soon be open to the public.
Partly funded by the province’s active transportation subsidy program, BC Transport and Infrastructure Minister Rob Fleming will have Mayor Colin Basran and Okanagan College President Dr. Neil Fassina, to talk about the project and what it means for residents.
From late December 2021 to mid-January 2022, the City Council encouraged the people of Kelowna to comment on the conceptual design of Casorso Road between KLO Road and Barrera Road.
This new corridor has closed the final gap in the existing north-south network by extending the link between Ethel and Casorso, merging the city center and the Capri-Landmark areas to Pandosy and the lower mission.
This new road will provide cyclists and walkers with better access to important Kelowna destinations such as Okanagan College, Casorso Elementary School and Pandosy Urban Center.
