WA Health reports a total of 5,514 new cases as of 6 p.m. last night. There are currently 36,630 active cases in Western Australia.

As of 6 p.m. last night, there were 411 people with COVID-19 in the hospital, 19 in the ICU.

Unfortunately, today’s report includes two deaths, which were reported yesterday at WA Health: a woman in her 80s and a man in her 90s.

Notes

  1. These data are based on the residential zip code of each case. The case may have an isolation address in another region.
  2. The remaining reported daily cases (100) do not yet have an assigned region. The data will continue to be reconfigured as this information is verified.

Of the 5,514 cases, 1,577 were confirmed by the PCR test, the remaining 3,973 were rapid self-reported positive antigen tests.

A total of 5,387 PCR tests were performed yesterday at public or private pathology clinics.

WA has recorded 1,003,678 cases since the COVID-19 pandemic began.
