WA Health reports a total of 5,234 new cases as of 6 p.m. last night. There are currently 29,825 active cases in Western Australia.
At 6pm last night, there were 238 people with COVID-19 in the hospital, 9 in the ICU.
Unfortunately, today’s report includes one death, which was reported yesterday to WA Health: a man in his 80s.

- These data are based on the residential zip code of each case. The case may have an isolation address in another region.
- The remaining reported daily cases (146) do not yet have an assigned region. The data will continue to be reconfigured as this information is verified.
Of the 5,234 cases, 1,292 were confirmed by the PCR test, the remaining 3,942 were rapid self-reported positive antigen tests.
A total of 7,740 PCR tests were performed yesterday at public or private pathology clinics.
WA has reported 927,599 cases since the COVID-19 pandemic began.
