WA Health reports a total of 6,158 new cases as of 8:00 pm last night. There are currently 39,264 active cases in Western Australia.
As of 8pm last night, there were 272 people with COVID-19 in the hospital, 11 in the ICU.
Unfortunately, today’s report includes five new deaths dating back to June 2 that were reported yesterday to WA Health; four men and a woman about 90 years old.
Due to confidentiality requirements, the Department will not provide further information on such cases.

- These data are based on the residential zip code of each case. The case may have an isolation address in another region.
- The remaining reported daily cases (76) do not yet have an assigned region. The data will continue to be reconfigured as this information is verified.
Of the 6,158 cases, 2,239 were confirmed by PCR testing, the remaining 3,919 were self-reported positive antigen rapid tests.
A total of 8,013 PCR tests were performed yesterday at public or private pathology clinics.
WA has reported 810,225 cases since the COVID-19 pandemic began.
