WA Health reports a total of 8,292 new cases as of 8pm last night. There are currently 48,181 active cases in Western Australia.
As of 8pm last night, there were 285 people with COVID-19 in the hospital, 6 in the ICU.
Unfortunately, today’s report includes nine deaths, dating back to May 7, that were reported yesterday to WA Health: a man and a woman in their 90s, a woman and four men in their 80s, a woman of about 70 and a man of about 60..
Due to confidentiality requirements, the Department will not provide further information on such cases.

Of the 8,292 cases, 3,195 were confirmed by PCR testing, the remaining 5,097 were self-reported positive antigen rapid tests.
A total of 10,459 PCR tests were performed yesterday at public or private pathology clinics.
WA has reported 752,392 cases since the COVID-19 pandemic began.
