WA Health reports a total of 5,548 new cases as of 6 p.m. last night. There are currently 27,426 active cases in Western Australia.
At 6pm last night, there were 219 people with COVID-19 in the hospital, 11 in the ICU.
Unfortunately, today’s report includes seven new deaths, dating back to May 24, which were reported yesterday at WA Health.
This includes three women in their 90s; a man in his 90s; a man about 80 years old and two men about 70 years old.
Due to confidentiality requirements, the Department will not provide further information on such cases.

- These data are based on the residential zip code of each case. The case may have an isolation address in another region.
- The remaining reported daily cases (70) do not yet have an assigned region. The data will continue to be reconfigured as this information is verified.
Of the 5,548 cases, 1,969 were confirmed by the PCR test, the remaining 3,579 were rapid self-reported positive antigen tests.
A total of 7,051 PCR tests were performed yesterday at public or private pathology clinics.
WA has reported 903,813 cases since the COVID-19 pandemic began.
