WA Health reports a total of 8,665 new cases as of 8:00 pm last night. There are currently 65,916 active cases in Western Australia.
As of 8pm last night, there were 305 people with COVID-19 in the hospital, 7 in the ICU.
Unfortunately, today’s report includes seven deaths, which were reported yesterday at WA Health: one man in his 30s, two men in his 60s, two men in his 70s and two women in their 80s.
WA Health has also reclassified the deaths of a 90-year-old man and an 80-year-old man as non-COVID-related deaths. It was previously reported that the men had died with COVID-19.
Due to confidentiality requirements, the Department will not provide further information on such cases.

Of the 8,665 cases, 3,244 were confirmed by PCR testing, the remaining 5,421 were rapid self-reported positive antigen tests.
A total of 11,125 PCR tests were performed yesterday in public or private pathology clinics.
WA has reported 714,222 cases since the COVID-19 pandemic began.
