Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons asked the NFL to ban the low block that left New York Giants rookie Kayvon Thibodeaux with a sprained MCL.

Thibodeaux suffered the injury Sunday night against the Cincinnati Bengals in a preseason game. He was hit low by tight end Thaddeus Moss while rushing the pass. Thibodeaux went down, but was back on the sideline after being checked in the locker room. He did not play again for the rest of the game.

“I don’t understand why slashing is still allowed in the NFL!! We grew up to be shit men! Let’s play ball bro! I hate watching this man!” Parsons tweeted Sunday night.

Giants manager Brian Daboll was asked about the lockout on Monday.

“They’re tough blocks — the blocks that come off the other side of the line of scrimmage inside the tackle box. You’ve got to see that, and then you’ve got to do a great job of trying to make plays with your hands. So , it’s a shame KT went down. But that’s part of the game,” he said.

Thibodeaux was reported to be out 3-4 weeks with the injury. Daboll would not put a timeline on his return.

“I would say it’s really day-to-day,” he said. “I’m not predicting when a player might come back or not come back. I know he’s going to come in and get treatment. We’ll take it day by day, and when he’s ready to go, that’s when we’ll put him out there.”

Thibodeaux will miss practice and the final preseason game against the New York Jets.

“It’s a value to be out there in practice. You try to fake it as much as you can to get live reps, but as many reps as any of our guys can get, whether it’s a rookie or a veteran, I think that helps them. helps. on every drive. KT has been doing everything we’ve asked of him since he’s been here. He’s been a good teammate,” Daboll said.

“He’s worked really hard. So you definitely never want to waste time. He’s got the right attitude. The right approach. He’s going to rehab as much as he can and he’ll be ready to go when he’s ready.”
