A gunman opened fire inside a North Carolina comedy club where comedian Craig Robinson was scheduled to perform Saturday night, and caused people to struggle to evacuate, the police.
A man entered the Charlotte Comedy Zone shortly after 9 p.m., and fired his gun, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg police department said.
Robinson, best known for playing Darryl in “The Office,” posted a video on Instagram as he stood in the crowd during a Big Time Rush concert at the Metro Credit Union Amphitheater.
“I’m performing in the Comedy Zone of Charlotte, North Carolina. There was an active shooter at the comedy club. So they moved us to this: there’s a concert, so I thought I’d share it with all of you.” said the star of “The Office.”

The venue, located right next to the club, is where he was told to evict, he said.
“I’m sure. I’m cool. It was wild to be in the green room and they tell me, ‘Everyone get out!’ It was a safe time.”
Employees told the WSOC that the gunman entered the club while waving a firearm, demanding that everyone leave the building.
The building was evacuated sometime after the man opened fire, according to police.
No one was injured and the suspect was arrested, police said.
