Liverpool were sweaty by Darwin Núñez’s potential debut against Manchester United after the £ 85million new signing was forced to be left out of an open training session with discomfort in his left foot.
The Reds continued their preparations on Monday before facing Premier League rivals United at Thailand’s Rajamangala Stadium in a pre-season friendly.
The match will see Klopp face off against new United boss Erik ten Hag for the first time since the Dutchman took first place at Old Trafford.

The club’s new record signing, Núñez, was among the team that was put to the test by Chief Klopp, while thousands gathered to watch the Reds train.
But the former Benfica striker left early due to what appeared to be a foot problem, which has been reported to be blisters.
Shortly afterwards, the striker resurfaced to do stretches with the club’s physiotherapist and the Reds hope he can still play against United.

Coach Klopp has insisted there is no need for a “drastic change” even though his squad fell short in the Champions League and Premier League last season.
The Reds, however, won both the Carabao Cup and the FA Cup as they reached the final of Europe’s elite competition, which they lost 1-0 to Real Madrid in Paris.
Klopp’s side also took the league title race to the final game of the season, but have just lost to Manchester City.

Liverpool have seen striker Sadio Mane leave for Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich this summer as Divock Origi has joined AC Milan and Takumi Minamino has joined Monaco.
The Reds moved quickly to catch Benfica striker Núñez, newly promoted Fulham forward Fabio Carvalho and Aberdeen’s Calvin Ramsay.
Klopp said: “There’s no reason for drastic changes, you should change drastically if you think specific parts of the team need a drastic change or whatever.
‘The players have lost desire or determination, it’s not the case that I know them well enough, but you have to change anyway.
‘You have to bring fresh legs, fresh blood, and that’s what we did. Not only did Sadio leave us, but Minamino and Divock Origi left us.

“One or two players can leave us in this transfer window. With Darwin, Fabio and Calvin we have brought in three very interesting players who are changing the dynamics of the team, which you need.
“I can’t invent football every new day and tell the guys, by the way, last week we played like this week, this week we play like that just to keep them alert.
“We can help ourselves a little bit by incorporating new guys and changing the dynamic.”
Klopp nominated a 37-man team for the pre-match tour against United and Crystal Palace.
However, some notable names were missing from the roster, such as reserve goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher, new right-back Ramsay and teenage Kaide Gordon.
After facing rival United, Liverpool will travel to Singapore to face Crystal Palace to compete in the Standard Chartered Singapore Trophy 2022.
