David Noble will leave North Melbourne

David Noble has left the post of North Melbourne coach.

Sam Edmund of SEN reports that Noble will leave the Kangaroos after informing his teammates of the club’s decision Monday night.

“North Melbourne has made a decision on David Noble and will leave as coach,” he told SEN Breakfast.

“I am told that an announcement will be made today.

“Last night he told teammates and people he knows and in whom he is confident he would leave as coach. Word has come out since then.

“David Noble has had a short coaching career in North Melbourne, taking over in 2021.

“The series of results of 14 consecutive defeats, an average of 10 goals in these defeats, there have been concerns not only for his coaching methods, but for his behavior.

“Concerns across the club over the external review Geoff Walsh is currently conducting.

“We can say that a decision has been made about David Noble and that he will be relieved of his duties as coach of the Kangaroos.”

The Roos made their best performance in some time against Collingwood last Saturday, leading until the final quarter before losing by seven points.

Noble’s record was five wins, one draw and 32 losses in 38 games by the North.

They are at the bottom of the ladder with just one win in 16 games and a 51.7 percent.

VFL coach Leigh Adams will act as janitor for the remainder of the 2022 season.
