Depp v Heard: Kate Moss says actor “never pushed me, didn’t kick me or throw me down any stairs”

Kate Moss has said that Johnny Depp “never” pushed her down any stairs, contrary to rumors commented by Amber Heard during the U.S. defamation trial.

The British supermodel said the actor, with whom she had a relationship between 1994 and 1998, had not “pushed, kicked or thrown” me down any stairs while they were together.

He appeared by video link in the district court of Fairfax County, Virginia, Wednesday, to present evidence that lasted just two minutes.

She was called by Depp’s legal team, who appeared to be celebrating when Heard mentioned her name during her trial last week.

The actress had described hearing a rumor that Depp had pushed Moss down a flight of stairs.

Speaking from Gloucestershire, Moss said the allegation of the incident at Jamaica’s GoldenEye complex was not true.

“We were getting out of the room and Johnny got out of the room before me and there had been a rainstorm,” he said.

“When I got out of the room I slid down the stairs and my back hurt and I screamed because I didn’t know what had happened to me.

“(Depp) ran back to help me and took me to my room and got me medical attention.”

Depp’s lawyer, Benjamin Chew, asked Moss if the Hollywood star had ever pushed him down the stairs.

“No, he never pushed me, he didn’t kick me or throw me down any stairs,” she replied.

The court has previously heard another of Depp’s former partners, Ellen Barkin, say she had been in control during their brief relationship.

She is suing Heard over a 2018 article she wrote in the Washington Post, which her lawyers say falsely implies that she physically and sexually abused her while they were together.

He has denied all charges.
