Since Microsoft will soon be the new owner of Blizzard Activision, there will surely be some sort of Diablo announcement at its Summer Game Fest presentation. While we knew that a direct sequel would arrive in November 2019, we took another deeper look at Diablo IV, which once went backwards … indefinitely. Now expect to see him land sometime in 2023.
The developers promise a different style of Diablo, with open world exploration, more substantial character customization and what appears to be the ability to change gameplay style with different skills.
If players eliminate the evil from certain areas, they will become more friendly places to trade and all that is not being hacked by monsters. Expect to see specific areas for PvP duels and a kind of adaptive difficulty where talented players will score in the open world.
For those unfazed by the mobile-focused Immortal Devil, it may not arrive soon enough. There has been no new Diablo game in 10 years. If you’ve been waiting so long, beta pre-registration is now open here.
