Others described “legendary queues,” with one passenger saying, “The queue for water queues is still longer than the queue for safety … please add more charging stations!”
A Stansted airport spokesman said people may have to queue “if there are a number of passengers trying to use the water fountain or filling several bottles”.
The spokesman added that “all our retailers will provide water, but passengers will have to queue with other passengers queuing and not queuing.”
In Gatwick, three restaurants at the south terminal have not reopened since the start of the pandemic, causing congestion at other outlets.
