Diners evacuate when fire breaks out at Gino D’Acampo’s Alderley Edge restaurant

Diners at Gino D’Acampo’s Italian restaurant, Luciano on Alderley Edge, were evacuated after a fire broke out. Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service crews were called to the Wilmslow Road restaurant at 6:21 p.m. (Saturday).

The restaurant was cleared of guests after the fire broke out, in the hollow of the ground floor roof, a fire spokesman said. Manchester Evening News .

Four firefighters attended, with the presence of the police. Crews from Wilmslow, Macclesfield and Greater Manchester were deployed.

The spokesman said: “We were called at 18:21 on Wilmslow Road in Alderley Edge, for a fire in a commercial building. The fire is in the roof space. We currently have a Wilmslow engine and a of Macclesfield,

“Two firefighters are carrying breathing apparatus, with a hose reel used. The building was evacuated. It is a two-story building with a fire in the roof of the roof of the ground floor. They are using jet wagons. hose and a jet of deck hose reels “.

At the height of the fire, the fire was also being treated by two engines from the Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service, the spokesman added. These two engines left the site at 7.30pm.
