Well, folks, it’s been another full week on Nintendo Life, with lots of highlights to mention! First of all, the excellent Mario Strikers: Battle League was released on Friday and we thought it was a great sports game for Switch in our review. Similarly, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords was released digitally in the eShop, but Limited Run Games confirmed a physical release of the game later this year, along with a loaded ship other ads.
Elsewhere, we first saw the highly anticipated Flashback 2 on the live broadcast of Summer Game Fest, ending an agonizing 30-year wait. We also have a release date for TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge, and it’s much closer than you might expect! Finally, in a bittersweet story, people on Twitter came together to help a young cancer patient connect with The Pokémon Company.
Now is the time to relax and talk about our weekend game plans. Some members of the Nintendo Life team have done so below, so feel free to read our posts and then join us through our comments section. Enjoy!

This weekend, I’m still playing Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. I’ve downloaded the sequel ready for when it’s over, but may keep it until the additional DLC is added. However, I am really enjoying my time with KOTOR. Once you get past the slow start, it’s a fantastic world to get lost.
Other than that, there’s not much else I’m playing right now. I’m in the middle of Stranger Things 4 right now, so no doubt my wife and I will take some time to finish it at some point.

Can you hear it The excitement of the E3 not E3 season? Sometimes from our side as journalists the fear of missing some important news. Madness is here and all we can do is wait for our wallets to do it. A great week for my Switch with physical copies of Redout Space Assault, Gear Shifters, Narita Boy, Axiom Virgo 2 and Demon Slayer all elbowing each other to get my attention this four (!) Day weekend. But they do have top-level competition …
The game of the week is Mario Strikers Battle League Football. I’m sure you’re all thinking “Oh yeah, the obvious choice,” but you wouldn’t mind the amount of time I spent with this franchise until the original GameCube release during college. Play the ball!

This weekend is my fifth birthday (woo !!!), but we don’t really have many big plans other than eating good food and playing Dungeons & Dragons! I will probably play a lot [REDACTED] for a review, Return of the Work Dinn for Backlog Club and Hollow Knight in anticipation of next month’s Backlog Club election.

I’m going out with my partner this weekend, but that doesn’t mean video games are completely out of the equation! I’ll take a look at the Yurukill: The Calumniation Games demo. This game has strong Danganronpa vibes, but with even more visual elements of the novel and some shump segments? Sounds wild. I’m totally inside.
Also on the record is, strangely enough, Super Mario Sunshine. Don’t ask me why I decided to pick it up again as part of the Super Mario 3D All-Stars package. I just had a sudden urge to play it. Maybe it’s the right time? Maybe I just want to be on the beach on an island covered in goop and paint? Maybe the camera controls won’t bother me so much this time? Oh well, we’ll see. Happy game!

This weekend I’m thinking of playing some Wii games with my little brother. WarioWare, Mario Kart Wii, Wii Sports, the whole gang! My wii has been broken for a couple of years now, so it will be a pleasure to be able to play it again!
As always, thanks for reading! Be sure to leave us a comment below with your weekend game plans!
