U.S. stock indexes rebounded after weak economic data softened investors ’expectations of upcoming interest rate hikes, putting the S&P 500 on track to break a three-week loss streak.
The S&P 500 was up 2.3% on Friday morning. The high-tech Nasdaq Composite was up 2.4%, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 2.1%, or more than 600 points.
