During their quest for an 18th NBA Finals Championship, the Boston Celtics offered Game 4 fans a T-shirt with a blank banner.
If they had won the series against the Warriors, the number 18 would have fit very well in space. What they did not consider, however, is the troll work they would suffer at the hands of Draymond Green if they lost.
After Golden State secured its fourth win in the final in eight seasons by beating Boston in the sixth game at TD Garden on Thursday night, Green showed off his handwriting on Friday by making some additions to the Celtics jersey.
Above the empty banner, Green wrote “WARRIORS” with two arrows pointing to the blackboard before blank. He added: “NO !! Maybe in 23” with two more arrows inside the square.
Along with the excellent roast of the shirt, Green spent the morning making a Twitter diatribe full of receipts as he called out opponents and others who doubted him and his team during the Warriors’ incredible playoff run. .
Clearly, Green is not taking prisoners while enjoying the glory of his fourth NBA title. What is not so clear is how the Celtics did not see it coming, although some immediately predicted how the shirts could be counterproductive.
And Green was the person most likely to seize the opportunity after holding on to a relentless Boston crowd during the series.

Also, their roast is right: the Celtics are talented and could end up in the Finals again next season.
If they do, they may want to think about designing their t-shirts later.
