ESA has confirmed that after a three-year hiatus, E3 will return to Los Angeles in the second week of June 2023. The E3 face-to-face event will take place in collaboration with ReedPop, the organizers of conventions such as Pax, New York Celebration of the Comic Con and Star Wars.
The event will return as a mostly industry focused even with publishers, developers, journalists, content creators and more. It will also feature digital components as well as a face-to-face consumer component.
“We are delighted to be returning to E3 as a face-to-face event with ReedPop, a world leader in the production of pop culture events,” said Stanley Pierre-Louis, President and CEO of ESA.
“The last three years we have confirmed that E3 convenes our industry like no other event. ReedPop brings world-class talent and a great understanding of the video game industry, which will serve to enhance the E3 experience for years to come. “
ReedPop President Lance Fensterman added: “It is a great honor and privilege for ReedPop to take responsibility for bringing E3 to 2023. With the support and endorsement of ESA, we will build a world-class event to serve the global gaming industry in new and broader ways than we already do at ReedPop through our portfolio of world-leading events and websites. ”
We don’t have specific dates yet, outside of that June period, and it will be very interesting to see how many of the big publishers line up behind E3, as they will no doubt try to become the big event it was.
We’re back! ? # E32023 will take place in June at the Los Angeles Convention Center, with new partner ReedPop (the people behind @PAX!)
