East Midlands Railway has released an update after hundreds of Nottingham Forest fans were seen queuing at Nottingham Station this morning. It comes after Nottingham Forest played Huddersfield Town in today’s play-off match at Wembley.
The railway company has urged Nottingham fans to choose alternative stations to travel to. They say fans can catch trains from Derby, Chesterfield or East Midlands Parkway.
All tickets will remain valid if you travel to a different railway station or provider. There is currently a queuing system at Nottingham Station, but travelers are warned to wait long delays.

Train tickets can also be used at any time today. Forest fans also have the option of traveling to Grantham or Newark to catch East Coast Main Line train services to London.
The East Midlands Railway tweeted: “Please note our equipment as you travel today, they are working hard to get you to London safely.”
They also said on their Twitter page that there were reports of passengers being left behind at Beeston station due to the high volume of people already boarding the trains.
